HOLIDAY WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE

My family just got done doing a weight loss challenge and my dear husband won. So my mom and another sister thought about starting another one through the holidays.

Anyone interested in joining us???? Women only this time, let's face it MEN just have too much muscle mass. You guys can have your own contest amongst yourselves. :)

The first weigh in will be Monday November 17th. The rules are listed below. I think this will be a great way to keep things in check through the holidays.

The more who sign up the bigger the pot will be, what motivation.

Whoever loses the highest percentage of weight will be the WINNER. (Just like on "The Biggest Looser")

THE RULES

Rule #1 - Yes, you must list what your starting weight is by 11:00 p.m. Monday the 17th. Pacific Time for those of you in CA. . If you do not post your starting weight by the deadline then you are not in the game. (sorry)
Rule #2 - Weigh yourself every Monday morning on the same scale, and post your new weight that day here on my blog. If you want, whoever posts there weight first you can post your weight in the comment section of that post.
Rule #3 - Each person puts $20 in the pot for the winner.
Rule #4 - You must pay the winner no later than a week after the challenge is over.
Rule #5 - You must NOT starve yourself to lose weight.
Rule #6 - Play fair!
Rule #7 - Last weigh in will be Monday January 5th (that gives us 7 weeks)

FYI;

*You weigh the least in the mornings.
*I will post up to date results (% lost) after I have received all new weights.
*Starving yourself will take longer to lose weight.
*Cardio, strength training and diet combined give the best results.

Optional - Before and After pictures. (of the scale if you like) ;)

One more thing, let's encourage each other on the blog.

There's a great free website to help keep track of your calories and exercise until you get used to what and how much you should be eating, it's amazing how fast things add up. Then you can see what you are actually eating everyday. www.sparkpeople.com

Does anyone have a great idea for a motivational saying or quote for us???

Thanks Torrie....If you would have started this about three months ago, I would have totally been in the game. But now, I am kinda at a standstill weighloss wise! That is o.k. I have dropped two pant sizes. I'll think about it though, because I would still like to loose another ten pounds!
