Another Summer's Day

Hello Everyone, just a quick update on our travels. We didn't leave Bakersfield until 8:30 p.m Friday night. Thank you Krystal for watching the boys for 12 hours, oh my goodness I still can't believe it was that long, and for dealing with all the potty issues. Gretchen thanks for vaccuming my house for me and taking the girls for the rest of the afternoon/evening. And thank you Mary our neighbor/friend for the YUMMY dinner the fish was AWESOME!!

I have many more to thank but like I said this would be quick. So we left at 8:30 and reached Barstow at 11:00 ( we were pulling our car behind us on a trailer we were both DEAD tired so we stayed in a hotel there (don't ever stay at the Day's Inn) I was awaken at 4 a.m by people loudly arguing out our hotel window and using VERY foul language, it lasted for a good half an hour or more. The scary thing was is I was in one room with Gracie and the baby and Sheridan had Cole, Maddie and the dogs next door. Luckily the kids didn't wake up. Any how, we left the next morning around 9:30 and had to stop every 2 hours to either let the dogs out or the kids. We were welcomed to Utah by snow, the kids thought it was great, Maddie woke up from a nap when we stopped for Dinner and said she was freezing and wanted to go back home. :( We FINALLY made it to Mark and Caroles house (Honeyville) by 11:20 p.m. so about a 14 hour trip that would have normally taken 11/12 if we wouldn't have been hauling a car behind us and two dogs. The dogs were in the back of our Yukon with Madeline, she did really well with them and they were doped up to help them relax, we think the medice had the opposite affect on Jack though.

We are off to Lander tomorrow, all the roads were closed there today and Carole was more than happy to have us stay another night. :) We are excited to get there and get settled in a little. We just hope part of our house arrives safely. We had an awesome crew that packed up and loaded our house.

Ok, I'm going to stop now this wasn't very quick, I don't think I'm ever capable of a quick update. :)
