......moving on to Idaho. We had a great time in Idaho too. When we arrived at my parents my mom had brought home these huge cookies, my sister actually took this shot, she couldn't resist.
We were able to make it to our Randouise (Randy & Louise, my parents) Dixon reunion. The fam actually moved the date so we could be there. Thanks so much family!!! :)
The reunion was a lot of fun!! My brother Russ and his wife Camille were in charge this year and they did an AWESOME job. The theme of the reunion was "A Knights Tale" We started off by going to Freeman Park in Idaho Falls for a day full of games and food. I have to say I was quite the All-Star player, I made 4/5 touchdowns playing two hand touch football. I was quite amazed with myself and I think I impressed my husband too. lol Let me just say I felt it the next day. :) Then that night we all settled down to watch the amazing fireworks that Melaleuca does every year. When the fireworks were over my brother had brought his projector and we watched "A Knights Tale" until the traffic was gone. I think we all passed out half way through the movie.
This is Cole with his cousin Isaac, my sister Katie's little boy. My sister took this shot too. :)
(the field in the back ground is where I made the touchdowns) :)
This was a little creek at the park we all went to cool off in. I will say it was hotter than Hades that day. Ugh
Here are the kids and their cousin Janie with their glowing jewelry. ( I don't know why this is underlining.)
My sister Nan and her daughter Lynette and future ....... hus....I mean missionary Bailey. (Sorry Bailey if I didn't spell your name correctly.)

The next day the festivities continued with a lot of fun games and yummy, yummy food. Let's just say if you were hungry it was your own fault. We had games in the canal by my parents property, one game was running the gauntlet. That was fun to watch, I did not participate. We had newspaper sword fighting, and another game I don't remember the name of. A participant had to be the horse while the knight rode on his shoulders with a sword(sharpened stick) and had to run around popping balloons and throwing soaker balls at my poor sister-in-law, then wacking beach balls off a pole. The kids had a blast and the horses were worn out. I had fun taking pictures. :) We also painted our own coat of arms.
Just playing in the canal.
Aunt Katie doing what she does best..... playing with the kiddies.
Playing in the sprinklers across the street. These are country sprinklers. lol
Daddy being the horse for Cole, I even captured the balloon popping.
Daddy being the horse for Maddie.
Daddy being the horse for Gracie, let's just say that horse was dead after all that work. lol
Painting our Coat of Arms.
Cole getting ready for his battle. What a cute little knight. He would kick any other knights bum.
See what I mean. lol
After the reunion was over they handed out prizes to all the kids. Cole picked this one which I think was very fitting for all his funny little expressions he has.
After the reunion was really over all the cousins went home, which wasn't too far for some and farther for others so then we had find entertainment for my kids. We went to tautphaus park zoo with Grandma Dixon (who took the whole week of work off to spend time with us, thanks Mumar) cousins Zaine, Quinn and Aunt Tammy. The kids love going there. They also have a little amusement park with little rides they could go on.
Maddie and her buddy Zaine.
Kids at the zoo, the otters were sleeping.
The kids loved the petting zoo.
Gracie sewing with Grandma D. They made these cute little slippers out of wash clothes. Very creative my mother is. They have worn holes in them they love them so much!
We would find rope and string tied up around and through things and finally figured out it was our little boy. He would do this everywhere. He was quite good at untying them too.
Cole liked making Mac n' Cheese with Grandpa D. This was a very rare moment for old pop's so I had to capture the moment. lol,, JK Love ya dad!
After visiting with all the family in Idaho we continued on to the land of Napoleon Dynamite. Yes, that's right. We went to visit my two sisters Nan and Katie. The kids had a lot of fun playing with their cousins there and making marshmallow popcorn. They love it. Isaac had a Artic Cat car that he and Cole drove around all day, it was amazing how fast Cole caught on and could drive it. We had a lot of fun, my sis Katie gave me a facial for about and hour one night it was SO great. Thanks Kate!!! Maddie had to have one too. It was pretty cute. I wish I had pictures while we were there but they were all blury, my camera battery must have been dying. Anyhow we had fun. My sister Nan had her living room remodeled and a new deck out the back, it was really nice, they've done a lot of nice remodeling to their home it looks good. My poor brother-in-law Reece was layed up after having knee surgery and was having a hard time staying down. Hang in there Reece. It was great seeing them all. Poor Leslie was beat on by our little knight on their trampoline, it was so funny to watch, she is 13? and he is 3. LOL You were a good sport Leslie, (when are you coming to see us???)
Our whole trip was GREAT. We really miss our family and hope to see them sooner than later. Sheridan and I are in charge of the next reunion in two years and are starting to come up with a lot of fun idea's. We can't wait!!!
to be continued..........
